An Inventory of Tools: Where are we going - Global Business with Local Touch? The fourth Language Standards for Global Business conference still follows the principle of previous conferences, to enable open discussion of Language Standards in an independent environment. It will be held in association with The World Language Documentation Centre - WLDC (http://www.thewldc.org) and BANGOR University (link). It will be a follow-up of the last summit in Vienna, (http://www.internationalization-conference.org/lsgbVienna/index.html ) focusing on Standards for terminology work, content management systems and technical authoring in the context of global business with increasing local awareness. The inventory started in Vienna will be continued, new standards and draft standards will be discussed to enhance interoperability, compatibility and data exchange among user groups in the long term. This two day meeting will follow a fully interactive approach, implementing both audience and electronic media in workshops and plenary sessions. A keynote presentation and a panel discussion shall promote open discussion on processes, specifications and proposals in order to identify the most important issues and the needs of the different user communities and to provide results for future projects.
